ADVANCED PEDALLING FROM A START POSITION

  • Stand out of the saddle and keep your body weight in the centre of the bike over the bottom bracket
  • Look straight ahead
  • Keep your arms extended with a slight bend to help to keep control of the bike
  • Drive down through the pedal with your preferred leading foot pulling the handle bars back towards you
  • Bring your foot back behind and round in a scooping movement
  • Maintain a smooth circular pedalling movement
  • Keep your hips in the same position while spinning your legs as fast as possible
  • Keep the pedals level when freewheeling
