BMX Away Day with Tennis Foundation
05-05-2015
Thursday, 23rd of April saw London BMX host their first ever team away day for Tennis Foundation at Lee Valley VeloPark. This was part of a new plan to make full use of the resources we’ve got and use them to generate new income for Access Sport. This includes holding team away days for other companies/organisations, stag-dos and BMX birthday parties.
Tennis Foundation kicked off their day with a team plan session in one of the meeting rooms close to the Velodrome. This was followed by lunch before the short journey to the BMX track where 2 of our BXM coaches; Nathaniel of Brixton BMX and Sean Hammersmith BMX, were waiting to put them through their paces.
Although there were a few tumbles and nervous faces the Tennis Foundation lot were brave enough to tackle the Olympic track after a short practice sessions and coaching tips on the pump track. The fun and competitive atmosphere contributed to a successful away day for Tennis Foundation with one of the participants saying “It was the best away day we’ve had so far.
Overall the day was worthwhile as we got to create a link with an organisation that works in a similar vein as Access Sport while raising funds for the charity.
